Ruger Mark III

Really good guns improuved mag realese and the addition of the imbecile loaded chamber indicator. I like the MKII better but its still the king of everyday .22 pistol.

I was thinking about buying a mark 3 in stainless. does anyone have any feedback on them?

Be wary of a magazine disconnect safety. IIRC they were putting one in there. Depending on how they implement it, it could ruin the trigger pull. You could probably just remove it, so long as you're okay with possible (unlikely) legal implications.

Love it!! :dancingbanana:

I've got the MKIII Hunter model.

The magazine safety takes a little getting used to, I may remove it eventually, as I find it mildly annoying. However, it doesn't seem to affect the trigger pull.

I never think about the Loaded Chamber Indicator, I just open the slide and do a visual check. After all these years of ingrained training, I just can't bring myself to depend on anything but visual confirmation that the weapon is clear. That being said it is never in the way, nor does it affect anything.

The magazine release is a huge improvement, as it's now in the same position as on my other guns.

All in all, it's great, and it's well built enough that it'll last me a lifetime! Plus, it's easy to get accessories for.

And let's face it, in stainless steel, and with that cool looking fluted barrel it just looks awesome! :D

P.S. Don't listen to those that knock it saying it's hard to dissasemble/reassemble, just do it a few times carefully following the instructions, and you'll be fine after that, no sweat...

I just picked up a Ruger Hunter lll for my wife she love it :D I also bought my buddies Ruger ll target off of him with the slab barrel great triger on it

I installed a VQ Exact Edge Extractor (about $11 delivered) in my 22/45 MKIII 4.5" Slab bbl. Highly recommended fix for FTE's and stove-piping. My only issue is with the "thin" grip.
