For those who have been patiently waiting for these to come into Canada, they are now arriving. I just got a notification at CSC and bought one - assume other dealers are getting them in as well. Picking it up tonight

Plan to shoot it on the weekend, but now that it is in my hands I can say it’s a Beauty. Ruger really did a great job on the fit and finish. The American reviews are quite accurate.

I shot mine over the weekend (open sights only). The action was very smooth and it was an absolute pleasure to shoot with cowboy loads. Next time out I will be putting on a 1-4x scope to outfit it for hunting

The open sights are very easy to acquire and quite fast though.

I put a Vortex 4x12/44 with hi rings to use the ghost ring (vortex sells the perfect ones for this)..loaded 300 for sighting and 400 elephant loads for hunting, these will take a grizzly down or anything in Africa actually LOL! With a scope you can easily go out to 600 yds. accurate with this rifle or use the ghost sight for anything up to 50. This rifle is gorgeous and a major improvement even over the old JM ones
