Ruger mini 14 target "report"

I have watched a couple of videos of the Ruger mini 14 target being fired and, as far as the sound on the video seems to indicate, it is considerably quieter than the other models that don't have the so-called harmonic balancer. Here's the video I'm talking about:

Can anyone who owns the target version confirm whether this is indeed true or not?

Had one. It is just a loud. Heavier too. Barrel is only "heavy" from gas block out tho. got a Ranch mini and now tricked it out with a really neat folder stock.
