Well I ran about 1000 rounds through my MK 1 and I started to get a few FTE. So I go home and proceed to take the thing apart. It was very easy to take apart and clean not so easy to put back together. Spent an hour and a half trying to figure out what I was doing wrong, a big pain in the ass.

Yep!

The two things to watch for.

First, make sure that the cross pin in the bolt does not fall out on the bench. The pistol will function fine without it, but it is what stops the firing pin from being able to strike the breech face of the chamber. Not so good, when that happens.

The second PITA is getting the hammer pushrod into the hammer spring. I found the easiest way was to install the bolt, tilt the pistol forwards, almost upside down, with the trigger pulled, so the hammer would drop forwards, and the tail of the rod would swing toward the bolt, pointing at the rear of the pistol. The spring housing can then be installed, the pistol tilted upright to have the rod drop into position, then the spring housing latch (takedown latch) finished closing and latched into place. Then it works fine! :D

Easier if it is shown, than it is to describe. <shrug> But, what the hey, if you got it back together and working, you probably figured it out!

Cheers
