I have a new Ruger Mk III 22/45 on the way, and I was hoping to buy two more magazines for it. (Want to use it in IPSC practice drills, to cut down on costs.) But I'm having trouble finding any mags for sale -- the local shops here in Vancouver appear out of stock and can't say how long it'll take to get them in, and even all the websites I'm checking seem to be stuck on "out of stock, backorder only."

Anyone know of anyplace (preferrably in Canada) with 22/45 magazines in stock?

It was the same when I was trying to source Mk2 mags as well, None in stock but a large order waiting to be shipped. aAfter several weeks they had some come in.
All depends on the luck of the draw I suppose.

Good luck in your hunt.

James.

I now make it a habit to grab any 22/45 Mk II mags I see at a semi-reasonable price....

You'll probably want to spend another 30 bucks or so on a volsquartzen (sp?) spring loaded magazine ejector. Otherwise, your drills will be impeded by having to pul the magazine out instead of letting it drop.

Good tip -- I hadn't known about that. I'm ordering one today.

The Volquartsen mag ejector won't work on a Mklll 22/45. No place to pin it in the frame.
What you want to get is a Mk2 hammer bushing. Remove the Mk3 mag safety crap, install the Mk2 bushing and your mags will drop free.
