Ruger MK III Hunter (Optics question)

Hello friends
About a month ago I bought Ruger MK III Hunter (short barrel) and now I would like to put on an optic .I shoot at 50' .I know nothing about a handgun's optic and want to get some advise .I'm not rich guy , but not looking for chepest optics-no.Thank you in advance

I have the same gun and i put on a Burris Fastfire II.Its a realy nice low profile red dot.There is a new one in the EE right now for a good price.
