Ruger MK III

So I dissasembled my Ruger MK III according to instructions, however could not seperate the barrel off the frame. Has anyone managed to do this. I hit it several times but it would not budge.

It`s in very tight, you need to hit it with a rubber mallet and it will eventually come off. This worked for me: http://www.1bad69.com/ruger/field_strip.htm.

Had to do the same with mine. I have to use a mallet every time I strip the gun.

Yup, Ruger Mk II pistol is the same.....snug fit.....

VERY tight the first time I took my MKIII apart. I covered the muzzle with a piece of rubber and whacked it with the *handle* of a hammer to get it free. After that it was not to bad.
