ruger mk3 target

Just wondering it you found one?

I picked up a new MK3 5.5" bull barrel from Target Sports(yesterday).
After a quick bore clean at the counter I went into the range and pumped 400rnds threw it.
I had absolutely zero failures:D.
I brought 4 different types of ammo....Winchester 555, Winchester Wildcats, Remington Golden, and CCI Blazers. The 555's gave my 10/22 VLEH some feed issues but were eaten up by the MK3.
So at $18.36/555rnds I'll be buying more for my son to blast away with.

So if you're still thinking about it ....stop and get one!
 
Post your comments once you buy it and shoot it. Its an amazing little pistol which I am certain you will enjoy for many years. The accuracy is very surprising.

Buy it when you find it, they don't sit on the shelves long.

I just mounted a Bushnell Trophy red dot (with 4 reticles). The stock rings sit a little high for my tastes (I think they're med). I'll be mounting low rings when I find a set.
While the red dot makes the MK3 heavier the bonus is little recoil and easy to get back on target during spirited shooting. Also, the different reticles make the HG a lot of fun to shoot. My son loves it;) Just waiting for the hogue grip now.

As a side note....I detailed stripped it last night and followed the vids on youtube. It wasn't as difficult as everyone has been saying but man was the barrel to frame fit tighter than a you know what....LOL. The mallet is your friend. YMMV
