Ruger MKIII 22/45 target pic

Had the ruger up to the range this morning. Put a red dot on it and tried it out to see what it could do. 10 shots (5 in chest, 5 in head) at 25yrds rested off a brick of 22lr.

I've got a Mk 11 Competition with an Ultra Dot that does pretty good also. Great guns and a very pretty group.

I <3 my MKII Target. It's one of the most fun guns that I own due to the light trigger and smooth shooting. Only problem is it's starting get a little finicky about ammo with the round count stacking up . I'm confident that you could still put a bad guy down with those 10 rds, plus you could have them all off in a matter of seconds. I feel almost zero muzzle flip on mine, due to the fact that it weighs a few ounce more than my GI 1911A1.

I have been thinking of scoping mine (KMK678G). Its older and is not drilled and tapped.

Can you get a setup that don't need to me do this? Also can you get rings that will allow you to use the sites as well? A fast detach would be nice as well.
