Ruger MKIII, fixed sights. At 10 yards I was shooting today, and noticed I wasn't hitting my little swinger target. I shot a couple magazines onto paper, and saw it was grouping decently, but 3-4 inches left. I've not noticed this being a problem before today, but my dad mostly shoots that one, and he shoots lots of rounds at 2l bottles, so combine that with bad eyes, I don't think he'd notice :p

But anyway, what can I do? It's bad enough, that in order to hit a 2 inch target at 10y, I need to get a sight picture, using the three dots, as usual. But I need to line up the left dot as if it were the front sight, so the bullet goes directly to the place just above the left dot in the three dot sight, when all three dots are lined up. If it were adjustable sights, it'd be easy, but with fixed

put the firearm in some sort of rest or vise, line up to bull and shoot. is your ammo a different brand, or style? What I have done is take a piece of 2x6 about 10" long. cut a V notch in it so the barrel will sit level with the target and the grip of the pistol is on the bench. put a screw or nail towards the bottom of the 2x6 so that you can tie down the barrel. the weight of the lumber acts as a huge barrel weight and the pistol moves very little. I call it a "bubba ransom rest". I do this to scope my pistols.
