Hey everybody I would like any info on this rifle or any other ruger brand rifles. Would like to know what there quality is like. I'm looking at this model in a 30-06. Thanks for all you input.

Ruger builds their rep on strength and reliability. Accuracy is generally hunting acceptable out of the box, sometimes better, sometimes it needs a bit of work. One plus is that you don't need to buy mounts or rings as they are provided.
In Summation: I like Ruger!
Handle one, get a bit of a feel for it. If you like it, buy it and top it off with a good scope (Leupold, Bushnell Elite, Leupold, Zeiss, Leupold, Swarovski, Leupold) Can you tell what my favorite is?

My go-to moose, elk & bear rifle is my M77 Mk II in .338WinMag. It'll keep 225gr bullets inside 1" at 100 yards so it's definitly accurate enough. I topped it with a Leupold VariX III 2.5x8x36 in the supplied rings. I didn't care for the shine on the stainless metalwork/rings so my gunsmith bead-blasted and etched the whole enchilada. Now it has a nice dull grey non-reflective finish that compliments the laminate wood nicely. The 3 position safety is positive and allows for the action to be opened while the trigger is locked out. The trigger on this particular rifle is just a touch heavy but can be replaced with a Jewel or Timney if one so desires. Ruger rifles are rugged, reliable and affordable. If it's a fancy gun you want, buy a shiny Weatherby or something. One day I may even install a B&C Carbelite stock and even have the barrel fluted  Just because I can  ...KF

I've owned a Mk I in .270 and a MkII in 6.5x55. MkII has mauser type CRF (Controlled round feed - if you care) and eject. Ruger rings are included and a very nicely made. Real walnut stock on standard models. Very happy with both!

We have a Ruger Mod.77,Ruger #1 and 2 Ruger 10/22's and like them all.My wifes
Mod.77 is probably more accerate than my Ruger #1 or maybe she shoots better than me.

I've had three Ruger 77's. First one was a tang-safety [pre-MkII] in .300 Win Mag. Second was a MkII in 6.5x55mm. Unfortunately, I sold the first two. The third one, which I still own, is a tang-safety in 7x57mm Mauser. All three rifles are accurate. My Ruger experience has been very positive. :D

Currently thinking about getting a fourth - a MkII in .260 Rem... 8)

The Ruger website still lists the MkII in 6.5x55, although I had heard they were going to stop production.

It's a .260 I'm looking for... I sold my Ruger 77 MkII in 6.5x55mm as I have two other rifles [Rem & Tikka] in 6.5x55mm... :D

My 77MK II stainless has killed alot of game. Using good ammo, it is very accurate.

Mine is a 7RM.

Good rifle, good scope mounting system, ####ty trigger. Replace it with a Timney or similar.
