They are difficult to find, but those who have them love them! I know Mooseman1 would REALLY like to have one.
My guess on price would be $300-$400. At least thats what I would pay.
Think I paid $325 for mine. Make sure its comes with the proper clip. They're just a little different to the std. 10/22 one. Side by side you can eye ball the difference. taper, angle and a wee hole into the plastic on the rear side , i think. Mine went to the smith cause it wouldn't load worth a damn. Came back "No charge. Design issue." So it became a safe queen, till one day someone noticed the mag difference. Shoots fine now.

the 96 takes the same factory magazine as the 77 series of rifles, the JX type mags. they are the flat bottomed ones.
my 96 came with a 10/22 variety mag, the BX1, and it worked, but i did source the correct mag.
