Ruger no 1 405

I have had two... great rifles. Shot them with 370 grain hard cast... both were accurate... shot one doe through the lungs, nickel sized hole in, quarter sized hole out... virtually no meat damage.

Bottom rifle;

What i like is for once ruger put some weight into a rifle. Id like a 9.3x74 but im sure it will hurt my bad shoulder. My 1885 405 is stiff bit manageable for me.

Of the fifty or so I've owned , one of ones I regret selling.

Considerable heavier then the 1S I had in 9.3x74r which was a good thing.

Yup. Just looked at 1885 28” model, thats the one imthink imrally want. Mine is the 1 of 500 davidsons special 24”. If anyone sees a 1885 28” model let me know

hoyt, i'll treat you just like everyone else did in highschool, by ignoring you. i've met lots of successful people, people who have done well in life financially and otherwise. none had your attitude, which is the rude attitude of a loser frankly. my trader feedback is great, but hey nobody said you were very sharp did they? since you like to cast analysis on people enjoy mine: you were a loser then and are a loser still and will be a loser always. nobody well adjusted and content with their life goes around sniping at people, which i've seen you do before. Do me a big favour and go bother someone else. Thank you!

Lol... didn't know I was responding to a 16 year old girl...

Ruger Number 1S in 45-70 with it's 22 inch barrel is just about perfect in my books.
Twenty eight inch barrels may have their place but just not in my world.

I agree... if I could only own one No.1, it would be a No.1-S .45/70 with a 22" "C-profile" barrel.
