Drolling over that walnut stock, sure would make a nice range queen... I'm impressed with the ruger #1 stock selection threw the years..even my 81 has great figure and grain with slight RAYS threw out

My gawd!! Will you guys never let up?? Hunted white tail and mule deer for years with 22" Ruger 1A in 7x57 - first 7mm for me, and it liked 150 Nosler Partition. Then the 24" Rigby 275 came out - and it too liked the 150 Partitions!! How could it get any better? Here it is - 25" 280 AI. Damn!! Now, it has been 50 years plus since my first deer licence - am I really done looking for the "best" deer cartridge / caliber / rifle??
