Ruger has announced the availability of the Ruger No 1 Medium Sporter in 9.3x62, in fact it is the only caliber available since they appear to have dropped the 45/70. I believe this is the first time that a North American manufacturer has offered a rifle in this caliber in a long time.

RUGER has taken to the one caliber per model year strategy... there have been many threads on the subject already.
Reminiscent of the Remington 700 Custom strategy among others... this allows them to focus more of their resources on the handgun and black rifle markets, which are booming in the USA. I am happy with the strategy... its better than having them abandon some fine offerings.

Seems like a good setup...a excellent cartridge in a nice gun. I was informed that they will be around 1550$ each....which in my honest opinion is too much money for the gun....1300 would be more like it. The ruger site has its MRSP @ 1399.00$.
@ 1550$ + TAXES IN AND SHIPPING. and a good scope your going to be in about 1800-1900$.....that is a big amont of money to drop only on 1 gun.
