ruger no 3

what would the going price for a 3 in 22hornet? dont know if its a k hornet? its nice but not a gem. has some dings the guy who has it says its a no1 22 hornet.but its not. he is asking 795 for it. let me know what you think

$800 for a #1 would be about right, but for a #3 I would say $500'ish if in good shape, less if poorer.

I have bought 2 # 1's in the last year, one a 1985 7mm rm 1b in very good shape for $600 and the other a first year 4 digit 22-250 1b in good condition with a 3-9 redfield on it for $550. These were good deals imo and there are others like that out there. The #3 is overpriced at $795 imo.

I paid $350 for my Minty Ruger #3 in 375 Winchester. They generally sell for around $500 or so.

I have 3 #3s,a hornet a 223 & a 45-70. Any you find for under 500 is good. Do a search in EE and see what comes up. Just a note, I sold a 223 #3 action in #1 wood, this might be what he has.

The last Ruger #3 in 22 hornet I saw for sale and it sold so fast I didn't have a chance to buy it $900 and I would have bought it in a second, you must understand 22 hornets and 218 Bee's are way harder to locate than the average calibres, so do not lump 30-06,7mmMag,300Win into the same price bracket as the hornets and Bee's, it is a good deal if you don't want it let me know where it is available! The rarer the calibre the more its worth, the market place rules! just my 2 cents Dale in T-Bay

They don't make the #3 action anymore and never made a lot in the small calibres as mentioned.

I would say $800 would be pretty fair for one in mint condition but a little less if the condition isn't so hot. Bargin him down to cover the cost of getting it reamed to the Khornet.
