For the money I hear that CZ is the best bolt action line up. The Ruger .22lr bolt action models are nearly 50% more, are they better for over all quality and accuracy accounting for such a great price variation. Centerfires are more expensive from CZ then Ruger.

I have always thought the the Ruger bolt rimfires were rediculously over priced, closely followed by Browning's pricing.
I don't have any of the new CZ 455 models but I have had all of the 452's that were available and all of mine were excellent shooters with the full stock models being the most accurate.
Most fellas on Rimfire cental that have bought the CZ 455 models seem quite happy with the accuracy they are getting with the new models. FS

Based on observations at my shooting club (the "real" NASA - North Alabama Shooting Association) CZs rule the roost for bolt actions and don't believe I've ever seen a bolt action Ruger in .22.
So it's CZs (or older Remingtons or Winchesters) for bolt action; Ruger 10/22s by a large margin for semi-auto; Henrys for lever actions; and, for pumps, a mixed bag of older Remingtons and Winchesters. Y'all might want to add Cooeys to the mix up there!

In terms of fit and finish, overall quality etc. They are equivalent? My 10/22 (old one), Mini 14 and Hawkeye M77 are all very well made. I heard it is always good to replace the triggers on the CZ.
The ruger is a good rifle and is 100% reliable, snf I really like the 10 shot flush magazine. Finish is equivilent. The CZ actually has the better trigger (it's adjustable and inexpensive spring kits are readily available to improve the factory adjustment). You will have to replace the ruger's trigger if you want it to be adjustable, although an aftermarket sear kit is available to reduce the pull to 1000g. I have an adjustable Dayton Traistor trigger in my ruger.
The ruger scope rings will likely limit how large of scope you can mount unless you replace them.
