ruger p89 trigger

I have had a ruger p89 pistol for about 2 years now. The only issue i have with it is that it could benefit from a lighter and less mushy trigger pull. What would be the method to go about with this pistol in order to clean this trigger up a bit? New springs? Polishing internals? I haven't been able to find much information with regards to this particular pistol and was curious if any of you have had any success with working on these triggers. Thanks.
 
The Ruger comes with a 18# spring. You can buy a kit from Wolf springs for the p89, it comes with a 17, 15 and 13# springs. I polished the internals and went with the 13# spring in my p94, now it has a very nice trigger.
