So I'm trying to change the Mag well on the Ruger to the Glock one.
Seems easy enough, loosen two screws and the receiver just lifts out....except mine doesn't.
What am I missing to get the receiver out?
I've tapped around the receiver with a soft hammer seeing if that would loosen it up, I've tried brute force so next I guess I'll throw it onto concrete....

I know its going to be something obvious

I’ve never done this ... just watched some videos ... someone should come along soon with better advice hopefully, but then charging is supposed to be removed and the bolt closed.

It will only come out if the bolt is locked open - have you tried that? Also, the screws need to be loosened quite a bit - have you backed them out far enough?

Bolt needs to be forward it seems and I have the screws nice and loose, the video above shows I need to whack it harder lol

I'll update later

Just to update

Thanks for that video Cityboy

All I did was undo the two screws then place a rag on the trigger guard and gave it a couple of good whacks with a soft hammer and out she popped.
The Glock magwell was easy to replace and I'm hopefully going to the range shortly to finally test her out.
I also added a sparc red dot.

I hope Magpul drops a stock for this soon

Awesome! Great to hear. It was something new for me to learn too.

You should not have to wack anything with a hammer. You will most definitely break something . You do have to push in the mag release button though, and it will lift out with your baby finger. Same with putting the new adapter in. Just depress the mag release button.

Just bought mine today. Had the same issue. Felt like something was holding it tight. Put it on some thick leather and pushed down on it. The receiver popped out. It was incredibly tight in it.

Op is talking about removing the action from the stock, not the magwell insert

And, it is NOT A PC9. The rifle is called the RUGER PISTOL CALIBRE CARBINE, or PCC.

As much as it bothers you... Google doesn't care. Type in "Ruger PC9" and you will see nothing but videos and information about the new version...

Right because people keep using the wrong designation and google displays most recent and most popular searches. The PC9 is an entirely different rifle, but who cares, the new Remington pump action machine gun is great.

Give it a rest already
Your in every post of the PC9 correcting people on it. If I want to call a PC9 who cares.
