total strip down of the gun last night and this morning, good in depth cleaning with G96 to prepare it for the cold weather.
went out this afternoon and put a couple hundred rounds though it.
gun ran flawlessly!
i was just running the iron sights so far.
i got home and put a red dot on it that i think ill keep on it.
but im kinda wanting to put a scope on it and see what it will do at 100m with glass on it.
im kinda curious to see how accurate 9mm is that far out.

as for the take down, wow is this gun a LOT like a 10/22 on the inside!
the entire trigger group is 90% the same as a 10/22 just like 20% bigger and beefier!

i took the entire gun down to every last little spring and pin without watching any video or reading the manual.
if you know how to take down a 10/22 then your pretty much an expert on this gun.
couple changes but not too much.

super impressed with the anodizing or whatever it is they put on this gun.
unlike the 10/22 they actually did the ENTIRE inside of the receiver and its smooooooooooooooooooth so that bolt slides in there like its on glass rails.

so, so far with 1 outing in the cold winding snow the gun ran great!
im gonna try it with the red dot on it for range trip #2 hopefully Saturday or Sunday then ill put some glass on it on Monday or Tuesday and try that as long as the weather isn't too cold and windy.

also, forgot how good of a shot i am with that damn SR9 pistol!
..... but swapping out the magwell and running the 19X with it is tempting!!!!!

Nice, glad to see you finally got one. I also placed deposits on 2, and neither of those were in the first group to arrive in Canada. Pretty annoying that other retailers were selling them off the shelf while some of us had deposits in, and some retailers were selling them cheaper too. Not a big deal for me, as the retailers I placed deposits with were not locked in, and would full refund at my convenience. Now I have a PCC and 870 Tac :) My review of the gun is very similar to yours. Almost a 10/22, but much more robust feeling with a very nice lock-up.

I have tossed around a few red dot options for this, but wanted small and low mount. I started planning a Bushnell TRS25 mostly because it was homeless, but then also wanted a decent QR option for better pack-ability and so I can use the irons. While undecided, I mounted the TRS25 and was surprised that I could actually see about 90% of the irons-sight picture, looking through the scope. I can easily hit 8 inch plates at 25 yards, using the ions though the scope, so it is staying on it for a while at least.

I don't do much beyond 50 yards but have a few times with my TD carbine. With a Vortex Strikefire (4MOA?) we were hitting 12 inch plates at 100 yards, aiming top edge. I think 50 yards zero was about 4-6 inch drop.

I have 300 rounds through the PCC and not a hiccup yet, great rifle.

ya Prophet was super good at giving me back my deposit for the 2 i pre-ordered.
had i known it was going to go down the way it did i would have just waited and stalked my LGS for one.

as it was i spend $850 on one and $750 on the other.

Bass Pro in my area never got any; just like they rarely get anything in their flyers. Glad you got yours though and hope to hear more about it and see some more pics.

many people would not find this interesting, but i found it curious.
my 2nd PC Carbine arrived today and i noticed right off the bat that the serial numbers on my rifles are 450 apart.
which i found strange.
now, im assuming that the SKU1903 which is the Canadian Version (the 1900 and 1901 and 1902 being the US versions) that they where kinda doing them all up at once.
if that is true then they have made a LOT of the Canadian Versions and we are seeing very little of them up here!

probably more realistically Ruger is just putting 20 rifles off the line and slapping the Canadian Version barrels on them and sending them up.
if that is the case than there is gonna be no meaning to our serial numbers.

which, speaking from as a person with OCD drives me crazy!!!!

at any rate, there is 450 numbers between my 2 rifles for whatever that means.
which is strange because as far as i know only 2 batches of rifles have made it into Canada so far with the NR barrels and those 2 batches being 1 month apart.

something to ponder while you sit upon the throne tonight.

There was a gentleman shooting one of these in the bay next to me in an indoor range. I couldn't get over how quiet it was compared to the same calibre pistol I was shooting.
This seems like a good way to spend my GST refund : )

Are you planning a detailed review of it sometimes soon..?

It's strange that Ruger would send the compact mags north instead of sending the same old mags with the extended base plate that they have been sending us for years......

I agree that the action on these new PC's is very smooth out of the box no need for a break in.

Yes, though ITAR things like magazines they won't.

Hate to argue with you, but just tried to order the Tacomm3g goodies from both Tacomm and then ShopRuger about two hours ago - neither one will ship anything that actually attaches to a firearm to Canuckistan. Only item I managed to get ShopRuger to agree to send me was the bag for the PC Carbine.

That is unfortunate, I'll have to stop recommending them.

ya know i video'd myself taking it down and giving it its first G96 but when i went back to edit it and watched it i noticed that i must have been REALLY bored because i was talking the ENTIRE time through the video like a kid hopped up on caffeine!

then the video i made from the range for some reason was all just a bit out of focus so its all garbage so i just trashed all the video's.
i do however have the 2nd one brand new in the box that just arrived.
i could do it all over again.... without talking like a withdrawing meth head through the entire video....
and yes, it is winter up here in the North and yes i have been locked up in my shop for days when i made the video!

ya, ill make a video, im back on shift for a week so when i get off next week ill do one up.
one worthy of this nice rifle!

oh damn!
here i had decided i was going to order that package deal from them too.
crud!

on the topic of this rifle i was at work today talking with one of my coworkers.
we both picked up a 10/22 take down a couple years back, so we where talking about them and now this new PC Carbine.
he asked if i was gonna put a red dot on it.
i said i had but i doubt i will keep it on.
im too old, i prefer either iron or scope.

he then asked how the accuracy was on it.
i told him i didnt know yet, other than my first couple hundred rounds fired with open sites and a red dot free standing and blazing away.
we talked into great detail as neither of us have ever shot a 9mm rifle before.
now we are both very intrigued with how accurate a 9mm rifle is!

so im planning to take out the shooting table and drop a nice scope on the rifle and see exactly what kind of accuracy this rifle really has!

and yes, this will be a good excuse to buy a new scope.
and yes, my wife will accept that as a good enough reason to buy yet another scope.

Can anyone recommend a source for compatible Glock magazines?

I bought a couple but it doesn't appear they are compatible... They seat in the magwell and lock in but they appear to stick up too high for the bolt to close. They literally block the bolt from moving forward.

If the mags are empty... they will lock back the bolt.

All Glock 9mm mags work except the G43 mags. Did you change the magwell to Glock compatible?
