Nah, just take your chop saw to the SR9 and shorten the grip to SR9C length.

I ordered 3 extra m carbo spring kits to make shipping worthwhile. Pretty cheap upgrade to an already ok trigger

Got my spring kits, knocked a pound off and feels a little crisper. Good investment. Turned an ok trigger into an excellent one. I listed a couple on the EE in black rifle accessories.

Wondering if anyone has chronographed the PCC using standard 115 or 124 grain fmj ammo. I'm very curious to know how much more velocity we are getting?

It's not "standard" ammo but I worked up a load and chronoed it this weekend. 124 FCP RN over 5 grains W231 gets me to a rough average of 1375fps. I had some 147 grain plated that normally does 980fps from a 5" that was coming out at 1030fps average. You definitely need to decrease weight to see appreciable gains from the longer barrel.

On a related note, it's crazy how well this gun seems to shoot. Snap shots with the irons are reasonably easy out to 120m. I'm waiting for the snow to #### off and I will fire from the edge of the property and try it out to 400m.

actually thats something i wanted to know as well.
and i just got a new chrono......

i may have to add this onto my week off list of things to do!

I found this at https://www.policeone.com/police-pr...the-new-Ruger-PC-Carbine-9mm-is-right-for-LE/
Range testing found that Winchester’s 124-grain NATO rounds averaged (five shots) 1490 fps (feet per second) out of a 5-inch barrel handgun. However, the same ammo averaged 1251 fps (measured with a Chrony chronograph 10 inches from the muzzle of each firearm) out of the Ruger PC Carbine.
Modern 9mm ammo often utilizes fast burning powders to make the most out of pistol length barrels. These particular cartridges do not always translate to higher velocities in longer barrels. Care should be taken to research which 9mm cartridges will hold or even improve their velocities. Large gains (as experienced by the .357 Magnum revolver vs lever action carbine) should not be expected. Moderate gains with lighter weight (115-grain) bullets are more common and can result in slightly better bullet expansion, but slightly less penetration (due to the larger expansion).

Thanks for this. I've been playing with 124 grain Berry's using light loads 4.1 grains of 231 and a bit hotter, 5 and 4.8 of wsf. I am trying to keep my velocity down due to the plated bullets only being rated for 1250fps. I think I am safe with the light 231 load but the 5 grain wsf load is a bit hot and probably over 1250. If you try any more loads please share.

I installed a MCARBO trigger spring kit in mine and am very happy with the results. Really looking forward to other after maker upgrades. What else is out there so far other than the MLOK forend stuff? And have people figured out what pistol lights fit without modification?

And on the topic of ammo, if this thing is going to be a common truck gun, what do people think you should keep one mag full of in case you have to put a hole in something big and grumpy? I figure 99.99% of the time plunking ammo will suffice for beer cans on the fence or ground squirrels, but what kind of 9mm ammo would give you some real oomph out of a 18.6" barrel when you need it? (Relatively speaking of course, this ain't no 45-70)

I just received mine. Haven't had a chance to take it out yet but I had a couple of hours last night to make this prototype buttstock mag pouch. I, of course, stole the idea from the old M1 pouches. Needs a little tweaking but it does the trick!

I'm getting 1400 fps with Speer Gold Dot 115gr factory loads at about 3" for 10 shots @100yrds, My biggest surprise is using published load data and slow powders like Blue Dot I am driving those 115gr. bullets just touching 1700fps and still in the 3" group range at 100yrs! Not too shabby at all!

I ran some rather light 115 XTP loads I made up a while back using longshot. Easily breaks 1500fps and accuracy is good, at least under 2.5". I didn't have anything besides the grid squares to measure unfortunately.

you guys are making me drool. Mine sits unfired in the safe. I won't have a chance to take it out until late next week.
