Ruger PC Carbine

Still no hits on buying magazines. Hopefully I can at least get one or two more. $35 shipped seems fair, I thought.

Probably because people will still have a Ruger magazine adapter, but now with no Ruger magazine.

Plus, many people like to keep all the original equipment that came in the box ... it often seems to get a better resale value that way.

You should be able to find someone though, but it might take a lot of time.

Cheers and good luck

If a guy was ever to break an ejector, it would be nice to have the option of switching mag wells while waiting for Snapper Heads to sort out the parts in Canada.

Thanks for the feedback, makes sense. I recall someone earlier in the thread just offering to pay shipping and managing to snap some up. I'll see how it goes.

Can't wait to get it out shooting again, though. What a fun gun to plink with.

Ok I am new here but by ther look of the magazines, you could buy an extention of some sort to have it change its length and put it back to proper battery height. A lot of american stuff is allowed 15 rounds and only pined ten for canadains. The shorter mag is made canadain in mind I guess.

Homer, the short mags work in the Ruger compact carry guns that we don't have in Canada.
Ruger should have out a different base plate on the export models so they could be used in the Ruger pistols sold in Canada.... It's not like the ten round regular length base plates don't exist.
In fact Ruger makes and sells them in California and Canada.

ive contacted Ruger directly they do not sell the longer base plate.
its just one of the items that they thought no one would ever have a need for, so its not even in their customer inventory catalog.
i hope they get their head out of their azz and add it because i have like 7 of those compact magazines and i would LOVE to be able to use them in my Ruger SR9!

Tested my trigger last night. It was breaking around the 4lb-4oz mark.
Took it apart...ported this, polished that, reassemble without adding any new parts.
Made sure the touching parts had a nice spread of Jet-Lube MP 50 Moly Paste on them.
Now it's breaking around the 3lb-10oz. Not bad for no parts.
I did the same with my 10/22 plus added a Volquartsen VC10TH trigger kit $55. Money well spent.
It breaks under 3lbs. which is where I'd like my PCC to be.
I see Volquartsen has a TG9 TA for our PCC's for a whopping $273.00 us. Ouch!!!

Just ordered a Ruger® PC Carbine™ Competition | May Combo from TANDEMKROSS $95 us
Their trigger is aluminum and has a post-travel adjustable.
Let ya know when it comes in.

I also got this same kit. The trigger is awesome for the price. It "feels" lighter but I'm not sure if it actually is lighter, maybe more of a placebo effect. I'd be interested to know if it actually lowers the pull. They have sent me 2 compensators now. Not sure if there's something different with the threading on my gun but I can't get them on.

Yikes!!! That's not good!

Can you expand on that a little. Cross threading??? Not 1/2 x 28 ??? Not starting at all, only get 1/2 turn,1 turn etc!

The first one they sent me was clearly defective. You could see the threads on the comp were messed up. The second one they sent me looked ok. They said they "double checked" it but only gets maybe 2 to 2 1/2 turns on before it starts getting tough to turn. I don't want to force it on. The thread protector that comes with gun has no issues so I'm guessing it's the compensator. I don't have another 9mm with a threaded barrel to test with though.

Thx
If you had a 10/22 you could try it on that is also has a 1/2" x 28" thd.
Are they sending you a third one?

Is anyone currently aware of who has the best price in Canada for these?
I will do a thorough search this weekend, but thought I'd field the question, in case anyone else has recently done the leg work.

I've been cruising all the retailers looking for something else but the best price I've seen recently for the PCC is $779 at Bull's Eye London:

http://www.bullseyelondon.com/ruger-pc-carbine-semi-auto-rifle-9mm-10-rounds-18-6-barrel-19103.html

I see you're close enough to just drive over and get one!

I also did an extensive search when looking for mine. And found Bulls Eye London did have the lowest price. But that shouldn't be the only reason to buy from a retailer. Costumer service is also a good thing. Answering questions, returning emails, standing behind the products they sell are a few more.
I also wanted a couple more items and ammo in my order.
Well it turns out all these things can be found at BE London!
Adrian went above a beyond my expectation. On all.

So it's not always about the lowest price...it's about putting the customers first.
What a great place.

Yeah, anything under $800 is a steal. I got really lucky and got mine for $725 at Bass Pro a couple months back, but they barely had any. For what you're paying, you're getting a monster. Even the coating on the aluminum receiver is the best possible quality anodizing. The other PCC in the price range is the Sub 2000, but unless saving a bit of weight is the only thing for consideration, it's just not in the same ballpark.
