I put this cheap red dot on my PCC9 today. Took it out to 30m. Pretty disappointing...Could have thrown stones with a better group.
Get what you pay for...anyone recommend a good red dot that won't break the bank?
For now I have another 4 x32 Bushnell. I'll stick on her.
Same scope I have on my 10/22.
Simple is always better.

Vortex has a bunch of different ones that will work for you and your budget .

I threw a Vortex Strikefire on mine, and got a nice grouping at 100 yards. Had no issues nailing a 5" self healing target out there every time.

Oh, and I also learned that it fits in my Hazard 4 Grayman pack with the Strikefire on. It's snug, but fits just fine.

Also brought out a chrony and tested 147gr Remington Golden Sabers through the 18.5" barrel. They were shooting in the 1110-1130 fps range. Advertised velocity is 990 fps from a pistol barrel.

I've personally used the Vortex Sparc II but had the electronics fail after about a month and had only ever being on a Ruger GSR .308win and a Ruger 10/22. I've been using a Holosun 503GU on my Ruger PCC for a few months now, zeroed it in a -32°C cold snap, and am 1200 rounds in with no zero shift. I've tossed it into a snowbank while on the PCC to test the both of them and an accidental fall of a steel pipe plate hanger that hit the body and elevation cap pretty good and it still hasn't drifted at all. Picked mine up from GoTenda for $300 and free shipping. I'd deffinetly reccomend it. If or when it fails I'll be going with a Trijicon MRO buts that's a pretty penny.

Midwest Industries came in the mail today! Looking sharp! Stupid simple install and the handguard is a major improvement. The charging handle is nicely knurled for good traction but has a broken corners as to not grab. Last but not least the stock spacer fits nicely and stacks well with the factory spacers.

I didn't know Brownells ships to Canada for firearm parts. Anything special needed to have them ship here

It's super easy. Just place your order on their site, and after you enter your Canadian address and complete the order, they email you directly (in a day or two) with an ITAR end user agreement you have to complete, sign, scan, and return. Obviously anything prohib in Canada (like unpinned high-cap mags) will be disallowed. The only unpleasant part is that they ship UPS to the border, then Canada Post takes it from there and assigns a new tracking number. I've ordered twice, and both times I was unable to get the Canada Post tracking number from Brownells.

FWIW Choate Machine also ships to Canada, for all your Ruger Mini needs.

FWIW, I found out gas tubes were export prohibited not BCG... go figure :-/

Does anyone happen to know what the thread pitch is on the front sight base screws are? Mine fell off today while shooting and I only found one of the screws.

This thing needs more Loc-tite than an XCR. Had to re-tighten and Loc-tite the barrel trunnion screws already, too.
