Ruger PC Carbine

I ordered a pc last week and it showed up today. Fit and finish is good, stock doesn’t seem as cheap as in pictures. Kinda wish the optic rail was removable like the 10/22 as I’m only using irons. Any good deals on 9mm bulk out there? Should I buy glock or ruger mags?

Definitely get the glock mags. Far more available and cheaper to buy then the ruger ones. I've been running 6 of the Magpul G17 magazines without issue and apreciate the fact that they can be had for about $26.00 +/- $2.00. GoTenda aslo has a good price on Blazer Brass 115gr at $239.99 for 1000 rounds and they have free shipping over $300.

seems to be the norm with ruger lately small anoying things, still love their products. has anyone had a high round count on their pc carbine

Im currently sitting at 1250 rounds through it and have only cleaned it when I first brought it home. I've had one stoppage which was a stovepipe right before the 1000 round mark, but haven't had any hang ups since. My only real issue I had was my front sight screws coming loose which I didn't notice until I had gotten home and realized that I had lost one of them and the other was about 2 threads away from falling out too. I haven't been gentle with it either, i've tossed it into deep snow in -30C after dumping a few mags to get it warm, then let it cool for some ice on/in it, racked the bolt and fired off 5 full magazines without a hitch. It has also taken a decent fall off of my plate rack from about 4' up and all it has to show from it is a small knick on the top of the barrel which is now covered with a MI handguard. Taking it out tomorrow for another 500 rounds from myself and what ever my buddy brings for ammo so he can try it out too.

I picked up a Tourbon bag rest this past winter, filled it with poly beads from a craft store (meant for beanie baby type stuffed toys) and it's been really good. Excellent stitching, well designed. Seems they like good stuff.

So I had my PCC out about two weeks ago at the range with a friend and I noticed I had a few hiccups with ejection which was a little disappointing and disheartening, although I suspected it was just because it was so dirty. Once home I pulled it apart as far as is possible and saw no issues other then it was filthy after having shot 1630 rounds, 1000 being American Eagle Syntech 115gr TSJ and 630 Remington 115gr UMC FMJ. So with no signs of mechanical issues I moved onto cleaning it with a bucket full of hot soapy water, an old toothbrush, and a dental pick. There were parts that had about 1/2mm or more of hard caked on carbon fowling that couldn't have been helping it out. Once cleaned an lubricated I took it out to shoot yesterday, and what do ya know, it went threw the 120 rounds I had left over without a hitch. I did want to leave then gun until it absolutely needed to be cleaned as a little personal experiment and I got my result, but the moral of the story is clean your gun more then once every 1500 rounds or so.

Ruger PC Carbine Chassiss

So it looks like more and more companies are rolling out chassis's for our Ruger PC Carbines which is fantastic! So far these are the four I have seen and know about. No pricing information is available yet but by guessing from construction and county of origin, from cheapest to most expensive, id call it as the Midwest Industries, Infitech, Copper Custom, then the CROM USA.

Infitech of Sweden is opening up preorders for theirs on July 10th but I am unsure on pricing.

Midwest Industries has announced thier own as well to pair up with their other great PC Carbine parts, no release date yet.

Copper Custom has theirs set for release for summer 2019 but no set date yet. Definitely my favorite of the bunch.

CROM USA has this beastly looking chassis that also features a trigger finger mag release similar in use to an AR platform, and is the only one of the bunch not sporting an AR comparable pistol grip. They also seem to have their own forend and receiver rail to create a "monolithic" top rail.

So what do you guys think? Will you get one, and if so, which one?

So any suggestions on what needs lock tite on a new PC? Going to detail strip and clean before taking to the range and was wondering what everyone had issue with in regards to screws loosening.

From my experience just the front sight screws. A touch might not be a bad thing to put on the screw holding the charging handle on either, just make sure the lock tite you use will allow you to remove it in the future without much hassle.
