Ruger PCC Upgrades?

I'm finding the pistol grip a bit small (I have big hands..). Can someone recommend a decent larger grip or are there extenders for the standard grip?

Like many of you I picked up a Ruger PCC in the last year. I ended up going with the MLOK model as it was on sale at the time and was $450+ cheaper than the chassis model. I've run 100 rounds of Winchester 115gr and 100 rounds of CCI Blazer 124gr through it without a single hiccup.

Where should I start for upgrading this rifle? I've heard mcarbo make certain replacement parts for this platform, are these parts worth upgrading? (trigger, extractor, bolt handle etc.)

What about sights, slings, magazines? Anything else?

Cheers!

Does anyone know where I can grab the mid west industries upgrade for the pc carbine up here in Canada?

I have the Magpul MOE grip on one of my rifles which I think feels a bit bigger than the standard Ruger one.

Anyone have issues with the glock mag adapter? Open bolt, I insert the mag and the release is hung up, I usually have to lightly touch the release on the ejection side to make it lock in the magazine. Could it just need a better oiling or more break in? Put 15 mags through it the first day and had it do that nearly every time.

Here's mine.

I've upgraded it with;

- Taccom extended charging handle ($45)
- Mcarbo extended mag release ($50)
- Mcarbo flat faced trigger ($67)
- Mcarbo extractor ($50)
- Bushnell TRS-25
- Parker Mountain Machine forend ($335)

It shoots quite well, but has a few stovepipes here and there, but the Mcarbo extractor did help quite a bit. I find this gun likes to run clean, and won't run very well when it starts to get dirty.

Not a very good pic, sorry!

I'm still looking for a decent (but cheap) take down case.

The one ruger sells on shopruger.com is about the best. It's worth the cash and is a quality bag. It's the same style as the bag that comes with the 10/22 takedown but is made of better materials and is just better quality all around. I don't regret laying out the money for that bag one bit and I don't think you would either.

Does the same thing happen with another Glock magazine? Do you have any other 9mm Glock mags not OEM - like PMAG, etc.? Just to rule out the issue being caused specifically by the magazine.

Does the same thing happen when you put back in the Ruger magwell with the SR9/S9 mag?

Perhaps also try removing the Glock magwell adapter and reinstalling again.

Finally got my PC Carbine out to the range and ran 250 rounds through it flawlessly. Very happy with it! Tandemkross Game Changer muzzle brake, left handed Jawbone mag release and Burris fast fire 3 red dot on top of a 3/4” riser from Leapers UTG. Today I put a left handed Volquartsen oversized safety on it to finish it off, for now. Also using PMAGS without any problems. The only other thing that I’ll do is upgrade some MCARBO parts for IPSC.

i went a different path. I priced out all the upgrades i was thinking of doing. It was going to be pretty expensive,

So instead I left the ruger stock and bought a JR Carbine.
Sharing the mags was big factor.
