I've been waiting for this for almost 2 months, it finally arrived. I have one in .308 and I never warmed up to it and couldn't figure out why. Finally I decided I didn't like the Ruger stock- which most people seem to find pretty good for a production gun- and swapped it for a Magpul PRS. Then I really started enjoying shooting it.

So I had a Magpul stock ready for this one and when it showed up this afternoon I stuck it on then grabbed a spare Bushnell Forge scope and stole a Magpul bipod from my Tikka CTR and stuck them on. I have had brass for a couple of weeks and H1000 powder showed up today as well so I will make some ammo and get shooting. It's quite a beefy rifle and weighs in at 16.5 lbs right now. I ordered a new FAB Defense Spike bipod to try out on this rifle. Hopefully someone is making prefit barrels for it by the time I wear the original barrel out. :)

the PRS comes with everything you need in the box to bolt it onto a RPR.
but be aware - the gen 3 Magpul PRS creates a length of pull issue on the RPR. the shortest LOP with the gen 3 PRS on a RPR is 15 inches. I'm 5'10 with fairly long arms, and it was too long on my RPR for anything but belly shooting.
people have cut down the plastic carbine adapter of the stock an inch, but I had no interest in cutting up a $300 stock. earlier gen PRS stocks are shorter, but they're impossible to find. I ended up putting the factory stock back on.

Gatehouse - it's been 2 weeks, how does the rifle shoot?

I am having the same issues with the length of pull. been looking for a replacement for the PRS gen 3, tried two other stocks, one gave me the same length of pull and the other (bought used of a tikka A1 tac) wouldn't work at all. looks like I may have to go back to the original ruger stock.

The PRS stock does add to the LOP but it works for me and I've seen some pretty short girls shoot it now without too much problem although they were only shooting 400 yards. The FAB defense bipod I ordered got cancelled as the copany in the USA I ordered it from said they couldn't ship it to Canada. The Cykepod is out of stock at the moment. So looking for another option.

So far I'm playing around with loads. Lots in the 0.6 to 1 MOA size but I would like something consistently 0.5 moa. Using 225 Hornady EDLM bullets and H1000 and RL26.

I'm now on a quest for a scope. Looking at the Leupold Mark 5 HD 5-25 but haven't decided yet. I should start looking for other options in the same price range and narrow it down to a short list.

I'll do a more in depth review once I've got a load sorted and had a chance to shoot it far.

Overall I like the rifle and it looks cool. Looking cool is important. ;)

I got mine a couple of months ago. Average group is in the 0.6" range
Best group was 0.39"
Using Berger 230gr Hybrid Target, 70gn H4831SC, COL 2.65"

Sounds pretty similar to most RPRs in the smaller calibers.
Where did you guys get yours? Bullseye seems to be the only place that got them in that caliber in Canada.
