6MM CREEDMOOR is in this year 5:56 is out it looks like. Is there really an advantage of a smaller neck over the 6.5? Anyone lined up for one of these?
Ive been on the verge of picking one up in 6.5 based on reviews and price point over the TIKKA T3X TAC A1 and the Bergara B-14 BMP but now with this in the mix, what to buy? I've been hunting all my life but at 50 years old I'm a newbie to the long distance stuff but I want to play.
What do you think?

The 6 creed chambering came out in the RPR Gen 2, replacing the 243.
From what I've read, the 6Creed has a one main advantage over the 6.5Creed: lower recoil. However it also has shorter barrel life and less downrange energy. Both have pretty much the same trajectory.

I get the hype on the 6mm Creed, But this is what some have been doing with the 243 for year. I have been pushing my 243 pretty hard 105 vld behind a 47gr retumbo @ 3050fps with laupa brass. Heck i even got 7 load out of this brass before i have one primer pocket leak. Im going to junk the brass now just to be on the safe side.
And if i forget my ammo i can stop at any gs/ct and find enough ammo to shoot a class/match or hunt with a 243

I cant wait to buy a Ruger PRS in 243 for cheap for everyone moving to the 6mm/6.5 creedmore

Yes, everything I read shows the 243 being functionally identical to the 6Creed. Sort of a change for the sake of change, type of change. One functional change I've read about, though, is that 243 tends to be chambered in slower twist barrels, and 6C expected heavier bullets so they usually have faster twist rates. Obviously that's not a good reason to switch the industry to a new chambering, as they could have just released faster twist 243's.

The real difference between the 6 Creedmoor and the .243 is that the case design of the Creed is optimized to have a lower COAL when running the longer, heavier projectiles.
