hi guys,

i am have problem pressing the folding stock release button on the RPR, doens't matter how hard, it just not moving. It happened to me once before, i can't remember how i end up got it fix.

Anyone suggestion?

thanks

I would try to put torque on the hinge joint in the 'straighten' direction, that should take some load off the latch. As in, put the buttstock on the table/ground, hold foreend in one hand, press on the joint in other hand while pressing button.

at first, i thought the release button may be too tight, but when as you press, you can feel the release button is kind of locked, it only goes in 1 or 2mm and it hold tight.

will try your method later. thanks

Sometimes the button seems to bind if you just close it unassisted, however if you close it while holding the release button down then releasing after it is in the closed position, and ensure the other side, the latch side is latched. If not, even brand new in the demo at the gun store a firm hammer stroke may be required to release as it seemed to be stuck beyond belief. Ask me how I know....lol.

ok, after a few more attempts i got it done. The stock release button is so tight, you have to push the stock against the closing side in order to get the release button to work.

I have 2 RPRs and one is tight and one is loose.
If the button is loose the stock will wiggle
If the button is tight, the stock does not wiggle but the button needs a tap to loosen.
Its better if the button is tight so the stock is ridged
