Is anyone tracking the Ruger Precision Rimfire? I just read a post on FB about it. I don't now how to post picks but I'm sure you can run it in the google machine.

It looks like a baby RPR and accepts BX mags. it would make an excellent training rifle for those of us with its bigger brother.

I'd like to know if and when it will be coming north to us as well as how many Canadian Pesos it's going to set me back

Damn....I thought I was done with buying 22s for a while. :) Won't make a move on one of these until/unless they're well-reviewed...and only after I see what CZ has cooking with their new rimfires.

Cool looking rifle, I knew nothing about it!

it looks like its based on the ruger american rimfire action, would have been cool if it was based on 77/22 action.

I will be buying one for sure, but unfortunately the BX-15 mag will be prohibited due to its co-identification with the 10/22 and Charger pistol. They will have to do a "Canadian kit" with supplied BX-10 mag... the depth of the frame looks awkward for inserting the original rotary 10-shot mags... will have to see one up close to see how they accomplished that... the website does say "compatable with ALL 10/22 magazines."

Edit; I see Ruger already thought of the magazine issue, here is a statement from the website;

"Also includes: one, 15-round BX-15® magazine. Model 8401 ships with two, 10-round BX-1 magazines."

Will be interested in the reviews..... I was all jacked up to buy an RPR in .243 until I saw one in person and it was pretty much just an American with a bunch of junk attached to it....
