Just got a Ruger Precision Rimfire in 22LR.

I am really impressed by the quality from its price-point. Trigger is crisp.

Only downside that I see is that it comes with a 30 MOA rail, the range that I go to is 100 yards max.

I see that Ruger has a 0 MOA rail:

I can't find it anywhere in Canada.

Would anybody know where it can be found. If I can find it online and buy right away that would be ideal.

Thanks

Just bought one myself and a Weaver one piece AR mount. Specs for the rifle from the Ruger site mention this though "Anodized 0 MOA Picatinny scope base makes it easy to mount and zero optics"

That suggests the 0 MOA is installed. Where are you seeing 30MOA?

We will be getting the Anarchy Outdoors ones coming up early next month

Plus I can just look at the rail and see it is canted downwards

Ok, I see that now. Wonder where the 0MOA came from, I got that off a ruger spec sheet too. Regardless, every review I’ve seen for scopes like mine (large objective) mentions that an AR mount works well and they don’t mention issues with shorter range targets (50y).

Edit: looks like the WMR caliber versions have a 0MOA rail in the spec sheet so my mistake.

I wouldn't be worried about the rail. Most scopes shouldn't have any issue getting down to 50 yards for a zero. I can only see it being an issue if you want to zero at 25.

On an RPR, it works out that 25 and 50 yard zeros are very nearly identical scope elevation settings. On both of mine with Eley Club 22lr and Seekins Tall rings, the 25m and 50m zero are the same 0.1mil click.

I tend to think that you could still dial the elevation turret to achieve a 25y zero with that scope on the factory 30MOA rail. But I might be wrong, you might run out of adjustment.

That's my general feeling, running out of adjustment, then having to order the 0 MOA rail, don't know why Ruger put a 30 MOA rail on a 22lr, their full size precision rifles only comes with a 20 MOA rail

Because an optic will run out of up elevation adjustment on a 22lr at a much, much shorter range than a 6.5CM.

I just bought one of these rifles but don’t know how to attach a bipod on the hand rail. I have a bipod with swivel mount and I bought the swivel but installed it doesn’t sit properly. Is there a specific bipod to get for these that just screws on or something ?

I have an MLOK 2 piece bipod on order but I shot the rifle just fine yesterday with an MLOK swivel and sling accessory from Amazon and a Harris bipod attached to the swivel stud. If you’re using a swivel mount bipod make sure the set screw is turned all the way in to seat the pod against the MLOK hand guard, mine was a little tight to turn at the start and wouldn’t seat but it gave a bit afterwards and is now perfect.

To keep it on a budget but be very effective, I recommend this:

https://www.amazon.ca/Height-Adjustable-Inches-Ultralight-Tactical/dp/B01IVDUSKO/
Combine that QD pic rail bipod with a $20 MLOK 5 slot pic rail, and you have a super effective combo and way faster and more functional than anything based on sling studs.

Next step up from that is to add a long ARCA rail from MDT to the fore-end, and then swap the bipod's pic QD block with a arca block.

If it's the same rail as the american rimfire, I have a EGW 0 moa rail i'd trade you
