...I want to lose the medium height factory rings and go with low ones.
On the Ruger website it shows Med. rings for my rifle as part# 4K and 5K
for Low rings it lists 3K and 4K. My question is can I simply purchase the 3K ring and use the 4K I already have or do I have to buy a set of two

P.S. I would hand-lap the rings regardless if I bought one or both.

Thx. for any info,
Mikey :)

Mikey I may have a single for you kicking around I will have to check for you though. If I do I will give you a call

yep - I can - it will.
The Ruger 77 rings are 1/8" increments different . I've done it with my 77s a few times.

I've even mixed finishes - target grey with stainless for example - if I could buy an extra surplus ring of the right height to suit.
