The GP100 is a .357 Magnum and the Redhawk is a .44 Magnum, big difference when ya pull the trigger! Like drag racers say..."there's no replacement for displacement".

What's the big deal with these? Everyone wants one? The Ruger GP100 has been out for a while in a 4.2" barrel?
Is it just because it's chambered in 44mag or is there something special about this revolver?
Aha crazy_davey, so that's where Ruger got the ideaLooks like it would be a handfull with those grips.
The meplate on those bullets is begging for me to inquire what kind of loads they are?

I can just imagine the WHOMP the 300's would make![]()
They are 300 grain Speer jacketed soft point with a healthy dose of H110 behind them.
Those loads are a whole different animal over factory loaded ammo
I don't just hand that gun over to anyone using those loads as shooters who are not used to heavy recoiling handguns tend to want to drop it and cry after shooting it![]()
Define healthy dose.
Shooting vids tooMore pics always helps the time go by
On my most recent trip to USA, I have handled this gun.
Built like cement truck, feels very solid and heavy in the hand.
One of those guns that grabs you as a must buy.
Do they do these at all in a blued finish? Stainless just doesn't do it for me.
