These are hard to find and I know plenty on here have been looking for them.

Looks like a few are trickling in.

I just bought one from P&D for 850 plus taxes and shipping. Not sure if they have any left, think they said they only had two and sold the other one.

However, Wolverine supplies currently has one on their website for sale. Asking over $1000 not including taxes or shipping. Keep your eye out at other dealerships as well. This is just a FYI.

If planning on using one for Wilderness protection (given you can get ATC), then either 5.5" model or Super Red Hawk in .454 Casull are much better choices. 45LC is another good choice if you reload.

They're built like a S-brick house. Even with the weight mine kicked like a mule using 44magnum rounds. Enjoy and post some pics.....

I agree. I went from a S&W 4.2 629 to a Redhawk 5.5. A lot easier to shoot. Much stronger gun too. Trigger isn't as nice though but the Redhawk trigger is getting better with use. Got about 400 rounds of hot .44 special loads through it and maybe 50 factory .44 mag. Definitely go for the Redhawk over the Smith.

I found the exposed frame on the Redhawk grip really pounded on my palm (such a wimp). A S&W trigger on the RH would make it perfect….IMO

All I can say is Ouch!! I want a 6" model but I'll have to try it out somewhere first. My 4.2" S&W M629 max round count shooting in a row is 14, with full .44 magnum rounds.

I have a sore nerve right at my thumb joint however. Ouch!!

I do a 100 rounds or so. I got chubby hands i guess soakes up some recoil lol.

For a six inch barrel you'll be getting another S&W, or have a gunsmith shorten a 7.5" barrel Redhawk for you. Perhaps some aftermarket grips would help enough that you won't want/need to replace your current S&W.
