I'm the new owner of a nice Ruger Frontier rifle in 300WSM.

The rifle came in with a set of 3B gloss Ruger rings.

I'm not very familiar with the Ruger proprietary mounting system.

If i mount the scope on the conventional way over the receiver , and i use a 3B size on the front , which size should i use on the back ?

I suppose i will have to lap the rings to have a perfect alignment of a 2 sizes rings set-up...?

Thanks to all for your precious time and inputs.

Thanks for your answer.

Ruger provided the rifle with a Weaver rail to fit over the front rib too.
I already own a Scout scope with QD rings to fit that one and use the rifle in the Scout layout.

My point is to be able to use the rifle in the conventional way too with a higher magnification scope.

I could have formulate my question another way...

If i use a 3B Ruger ring in the front '' receiver '' slot of a 300WSM Ruger Frontier , is a 4B the correct size to fit in the rear slot of the receiver ?

I got my answer from a Ruger service station near Montreal.

Very fast return from those helpfull people.

4B was the rear fit to my 3B .

Thanks !
