Ruger Super Blackhawk 7.5" Barrel Satin Stainless .44Mag/.44Spl

Beretta 92FS .9mm

Ruger Single Six 6.5" Barrel Blued .22lr/.22Mag

Barrel lenght and finish are just my preferences, but which would you choose if you could only get one?

sold off a Walther P99, a 3.5 Gen Glock 17, a Beretta 96 and a mini -14 to pay for having a Beretta 92fs Inox and a Beretta M9.
Best choice I could have made.

^ good for you :) I think I need another myself 92 :D

I'm not a fuge fan of SA revolvers, fired Super blackhawk in .44mag and didn't like it at all. No exp. with Single Six...

I didn't think it would be a landslide. As a first handgun I went with the Ruger Single Six, but I am still interested in the Beretta. Hopefully later.

Thanks for the votes.

I'm assuming that the restricting reasons is your mother's *current* in house requirements...so I'm going to presume that she wouldn't be down for a loading bench. That being the case, the .44's going to bust your pocket and the .22's going to get mighty boring mighty fast...

"I'm assuming that the restricting reasons is your mother's *current* in house requirements"

CURRENT, yes. I'll be happy with at least the Beretta as a second handgun, and will be working to allow more than just the .22 Ruger very soon.

hate to say it, but personally, I would buy the beretta anyways and lock'er up. What legally goes on in your safe isn't the business of mother dearest :p. Besides, it'll be in a locked case anytime you want to go out to a range, right?

I have been contemplating this, especially with that UN MARKING CRAP approaching. Once I convince her I should buy the Beretta I'd simply say "look what I just bought". ;)

Honestly, I'd be happy with a Winchester 9422 rifle I've already bought, a Ruger Single Six and Beretta 92FS for a while. When I finally get my own place I'll get whatever I want.

I voted for the Beretta just because I don't have one. But, it totally depends on what you want it for and what your budget is. All the guns are different calibres and vary greatly in what it will cost (factory ammo or handloaded) to operate. Fire the 22LR all day for $20. Fire the 44 Magnum for 20-30 minutes for the same. Big difference.

What are you looking for?

I have guns in 9mm .44mag and .22lr....9mm guns get used the most. :) In fact I only bought a .22 so I can save some money on ammo... but of course it's nowhere near as fan to shoot as my Beretta ;)

ps: if you look at the poll it looks like 92 is giving a finger to the Rugers :p

"What are you looking for?"

Variety. That's why there is a semi-auto in with revolvers. They will all be used for target shooting. Buget is not too big an issue, but if 9mm cost 1/3 that of .44, and .22 are 1/10 that of .44, I'd rather shoot the .22 & 9mm if I can only choose one or two.
