Hey there, I have a new Ruger scout 10 round mag and it will not feed in my rem 700 and Cadex . Did I buy the wrong mag or am I not doing something right. It seems as if the mag is not seated deep enough. The metal mag that came with the Cadex works excellent, other than the bottom plate keeps sliding off.View attachment 35202

Oh you bought the polymer version. Only the metal ones are rebranded accurate mags. I'm testing mdt tac magazines in my chassis this afternoon will report back. They are 40 bucks each, I've had one issue that 4 pieces of Canada post packing tape fixed. I'll go further detail after the range.

I picked up 6 of those plastic ones when I did my MdT build a couple of years back... I was a bit pissed when they didn't fit.

MDT does make plastic AICS mags now.

Will the MDT plastic mags fit in my Cadex? And if so any idea where to buy them?

NO they do not work!!!

I bought two, I had them sitting properly with 4 pieces of canda post packing tape. Then at the range, first round fed the rest did not feed. Very intermittent, I would not sugguest them at all. An FYI their PRS adjustable butt stock sucks as well. Makes the stock too long even fully collapsed on the cadex chassis. I basically wasted 200$ on MDT's website as everything will be going on the EE at a loss.

Everyone makes this mistake it seems. I think the problem that is run to is two fold, the top of mag how it has that has that huge slanted angle rather than the squared off mag lips (Not sure what those two parts are that hold the rounds in). The other issue is the around the middle of the mag it has a lip all the way around that stops it from going in further.

Ruger scout mags can be MADE to work in AICS DBM.. at least the CDI version.. Not a drop in.

MDT AICS polymer mags WORK in CDI DBM and I much prefer them over steel 10 rds mags from either AI and Accurate mags.

So there is rarely ever just one answer when it comes to det mag and DBM fit and function.

It is all in the set up of the parts.
