Ruger Semi Auto Rifle in 44mag

THIS would be the perfect bush gun for me and I imagine for a lot of other people. This fellow custom built a stock, lever and magazines for his Ruger 96/44 and made it into something so much more amazing:

If Ruger ever made something like this I bet they would sell a lot of them and I would most definitely be one of the first people to buy one.

UnREAL ! GREAT Job on this build ! - LOVE IT ! RJ

Rumours are a PCC in 10 MM for 2020... this is their new pistol carbine platform , I.dont see them bringing back the old one as a one calibre platform.
Think of it as car manufacturers using a base frame and building many different models on that.

If you're making recommendations, it should be mag fed and not tube fed.

I've had a couple of the tube fed ones and got rid of both because a tube is a PITA compared to a mag.

That said, disregard my comments if the Libs win again and ban everything with a mag.

That is really quite cool!!! He did a great job :)

Had the original tube fed 44 Carbine, I loved that gun, awesome brush gun. Had really good results with 300gr XTP handloads. My grandfather hunted with a beautiful Sporter model carbine, which is still in the family and still hunting.

As cool as a new run would be; it was a niche gun back then, and it would be even more so now. 10mm PC would be cool, can't see why they couldn't do a wood stocked version?

hope ruger does another 44 semi, would buy on the spot. stainless synth lightweight great utility rifle

You would think that it would be easy for Ruger to do as they probably still have all the designs and tooling ; all they would have to change is to move from blued to stainless . Does anyone remember why Ruger quit making the Deerfield semi auto 44 mag. ; was it due to poor sales ?
