The father inlaw has a Ruger Single Six that he wants to sell but doesn't know what it would be worth today and I have no knowledge of revolvers,so I'm asking the experts. It is still in really good shape as in the blue has very little wear maybe around the edges from rubbing from putting it in the holster.Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks

I just bought one in Nov. for $300 stainless in mint condition with one cylinder.
Does he have two cylinders (22lr, 22Mag) how long is the barrel ? Is it a old model or new model (the new model has 2 screws on the frame, the old model has 3 screws)
Could be anywhere from $250 - $450

Ok it's a old model made before 1973 (I think, I'm not sure the exact year, but they stopped making the old model in the early 1970's) and a standard barrel length, It also depends on what cylinder he has, a 22lr cylinder was standard, a 22Mag cylinder would be worth a little less.(because of the cost of ammo) My guess it's worth would be around $300. You could always ask $350 and go from there.
