I've had a S&W 63 Kit Gun for 30 or 35 years . What a beauty . I did the trigger job when I bought it along with a Wolf spring kit . Smoooth , accurate and never a problem . For some insane reason I decided to order this Ruger SP101 a few weeks ago and the piece of shyte actually arrived . Many youtubers mentioned the trigger so I expected heavy but not this crap . My Wolf springs arrived several days ago along with the Hogue grip . OK , the over view of this mother fugger . I took it out of the box and immediately cut myself . Both sides of the trigger guard were razor sharp . I stoned and honed it . #### it , single action , about 5 times and my thumb was cut as the edges of the hammer spur were so sharp plus the cocking effort . Stoned and honed . Took it apart and polished everything that moves and installed the spring kit . It's better but nowhere close the my Smith & Wesson . I noticed the rear sight was loose . There is a sight elevation screw and in front of that is the cross pin that holds the sight assembly on , except , mine didn't come with a pin . A local gunsmith matched that up . Went to the range to sight it in . Seated , sand bag rest . With the elevation screw all the way up it shoots 8 inches low at 20 yards , and there is no more adjustment . Loaded another 8 rounds and noticed bullet holes walking to the left . That was for 5 or 6 rounds until the front sight fell off . $1,100.00 CDN dollars for this piece of shyte . My advice to anyone who reads this on planet Earth or anywhere else in the universe , never , ever buy one of these over priced fvcking junkers . I've owned Rugers since the early '70's with zero problems , except this one which is flat out shyte . To sum up , maybe 4 hours stoning and honing the sharp edges that should have been addressed at the factory plus a high polish to every moving part and the spring kit to get a trigger that's only really shytty as compared to much worse when I got it . It shoots way low and i'm out of adjustment . Had to go to a gunsmith to get a pin that they forgot to install at the factory and my front sight falls off . Buy any .22 except this one . Ruger just rushed their Precision Rifle out with plastic bolt sleeves that break and safetys that don't work . Zero quality control . There are a couple of threads in the Precision Rifle forum of guys asking where to get parts for their brand new rifles and who fixes them . I was within a whisker of buying one of those also .
