Just a heads up in case anyone is interested.
The Ruger SP101 in 22lr has finally crossed the Canadian border
Al Simmons in Hamilton has them as of today
Lanz Shooting supplies also has them in stock as of today

I just picked one up and from handling it in store I am very impressed so far
Hopefully the CFO is working and gets things moving quick as I am eager to get it out for some range time

As promised here is a pic from the first range visit today. Mine is the one on the left. Not that you can tell otherwise. Myself and a buddy both picked one up from Al Simmons and believe it or not got a one day turn around from Ontario CFO.
Many thanks to Paulette and crew at Al's

It was damn cold at the range today (18 Jan and -9deg + wind) but I had to shoot the new girl. I'm very pleased so far. Might need a slight windage adjustment or my hands were just frozen. Have to see on another day.

FYI - Al Simmons still had 3 when I picked mine up this morning

Shoot straight

Here we go again...just when I thought I didn't need a DA/SA 22lr revolver anymore you guys are tempting me again! Are the triggers on the new SP101's really that heavy?
617 or SP101...what to do.

Sp101 for me.
I've had the .357 for a while and it fits me like a glove with the hougue grip, shoots straight a d has a very nice trigger.
I bought it used so I'm not sure if anything was done to the trigger but its very nice as is.

I went for a bit of a match up. The SP-101 in .22LR and its bigger brother the GP-100 in .357 Mag., just to keep each other company.

I notice the "new" SP101-22's have a half-lug vs Johnn's full-lug version. Barrel length looks to be the same but the full-lug looks like it may be 12(6).
I'm liking the full-lug but I'm guessing they are not an option with the latest offerings.

Where'd you get the holster for the GP100 please!? Plinker is in need;)

One of my better deals:). I picked it up for $5.oo at a local gun show in Duncan about three years ago. As marked on the back, it's a
Bianchi #5BHL
.38/357
S&W

Fits the GP 100 perfectly so I'm 'guessing' it's probably made for the 4" K-frame Smith.

Any idea what the price was on these revolvers? I have been waiting for these to show up for awhile but if they are all already sold maybe an import is the way to go.
