Walked into the Pictou gunshow last weekend and was surprised to see a brand new one for sale.
Bought it for $752.17 plus tax.
The trigger is above average on this one. Very crisp but not super light, maybe around 6lb. I'll measure it when I pick it up.

Had the chance to handle and fired, In fairness to Ruger ,its not bad for a $700.00 gun, The slide to frame / bbl is a little bit loose, needs a trigger job, it reminds of the Para quality, Finish is good though, The only thing about stainless, you cant tighten the slide to frame , not same as all steel.
Dang. I wish I had known that before I did it on my stainless Colt Double Eagle....

Why not? nickle too hard in the stainless and cracks when you try to bend it?
Not in my (limited) experience. I tightened the slide to frame fit on my Colt Double Eagle, which would be no different than doing it on a 1911, with no problems.
It turned out very nicely, tight fit and reliable function.
Brought my new Ruger SR1911 home today.
I'm very pleased with the fit and finish and I think it's a very handsome 1911. I like the Novak sights. The satin stainless and matte black along with the wooden grips makes for an eye pleasing combination.
Fired 3 mags through it with no malfunctions (my reloads). The slide locked back on each empty magazine like it should.
Slide to frame fit and barrel fit is very nice on this one.
Trigger is 5 pounds 2 ounces and is crisp.
The safety detent is very positive which is nice to see.
The grip safety spring was very light, enough that the grip safety would rattle. I just bent the spring finger out a bit and that fixed it.
