Ruger SR 1911 Update

Shipping used to be $0.99. Haven't ordered from them for awhile now. Like everybody else, shipping's gone up. :( It's still better than trying to make them yourself.

They make these in stainless as well. I have one on my SR1911 and love it. No glue, no alteration whatso ever and it doesn't move if installed properly.

If companies like Ruger and Colt etc didn't cheap out they would just machine in grooves or checkering in the front strap and we wouldn't have to add on this stuff. Another option is the rubber wrap-around grips like I have on my Colt GCT or the Pachmayr

So back to the original topic. Does anyone sell the blued version of the SR 1911 in Canada?

I don't know that Ruger makes blued ones. You can get them Nitron treated of course. (not blue, but sorta black)

The SR1911 is aimed at a price point. To say they can just add features and they are cheap because they don't is in my view unreasonable. In my view the SR1911 is a very good economical 1911. It is not intended to compete with higher end products. In my view they have included a number of enhancements with this product and it provides very good value for money. Where do you draw the line, do you expect to get an Ed Brown for $900? I don't.
