I recently bought a sr22, and Im not sure what way to go with putting a scope on it. Since its a tactical looking gun, I'm thinking of putting a vortex sparc red dot on it, to keep its tactical looks, but I kind of wanted a bit of magnification, so I can be more accurate at 100 yards. Ideally, I would buy a 3.5 or 4x acog, but I cant justify spending that much on one, for a 22lr, and I dont want a chinese knock off. I have been thinking recently about buying a millet dms 1-4x scope, or maybe a vortex diamondback 1.5-5x. Im wondering what type of scope, other sr22 owners are using, and how it works with it, and how it looks on it ?
Does anyone use a regular hunting style scope, like a 3x9x40 ? Does it look out of place on it, if your using a tradition style scope ?
I saw a picture of a guys sr22 with a big 6x18x50 scope on it, with a bipod, and it actually looked like a modern tactical sniper rifle, but I dont think I want something that big & heavy, because I plan on walking with this gun, from time to time, for small game hunting.
