Ruger SR-22

What does the s-54 look like without the shroud on F22 RaptoR?

Hold on a sec, lemme snap a pic for ya :D

ETA

Kay got a couple for ya!

Its got an 18.5" Butler Creek "carbon fibre" (AKA plastic) ported barrel. The 16.5" barrels look way better on it!

Right side of the gun, showing a picatinny rail I custom installed on it. It doesn't come like this, but it shows some of the neat stuff you can do.

Cant really see, but there are 2 things that keep the handguard centered on the barrel. A block that fits around the barrel, and screws into the picatinny rail, and a semi circle built into the handguard.

Okay got a bunch more pics for you guys, sheesh you're hard on the ol' camera :p :D

Cleaned off the desk to take some nicer ones.

I got 2 of it with the shroud, 2 without and 1 without the shroud laying flat on the desk (to get a better feel of what its like with the bipod folded away)

Using 2 Butler creek steel lips mags clipped together. With it laying flat, there is only 1 mag inserted.

With Shroud on. The shroud can be cut to whatever length of barrel you want, its meant to fit on an 18.5" with no problem.

Shroud off.

Laying flat on the desk, bipod up and only 1 mag.

My 18.5" barrel sticks out 9 1/4 inches from the front of the handguard, so if you look at about 1" longer than the handguard, thats about 10.25 inches, or pretty close if you go with a 10.5

When I was originally measuring it, an 11.5" barrel, with a Magpul Commercial CTR (with the rubber butt pad) fully collapsed was JUST over 26 inches long, so if you want to go with a 10.5" barrel you will need to have a fixed stock, or at least have sort of permanent spacer attached to the end, to prevent it from collapsing further.

With the fixed stock I have on mine (made by the same guy) 26 inches is 1/2 an inch past the end of the handguard, so you could put a 10.5" on their no problem and still meet 26" OAL.

Thanks!

That's a sweet little rig.

No problem!

And thank you! :D

Its far better than the original setup I had... Was very close to selling it then. Had it in a Hogue overmold stock.

The S54 stock is way better handling when doing action shooting, and is really nice to bench shoot too!
