Ruger SR-22

Does anyone know of a store in the Vancouver area that carries them? I had a good look at them at P&D while visiting Edmonton over the holidays, but might like to save shipping and speak to someone local about offloading my CZ452 Varmint in the process :p

For what it's worth, if you buy locally, you'll pay PST, and on a $500 gun, the PST is usually more then the shipping.

To offload your Varmint, put it on the EE. Specify local-only if you want, but you'll still get PMs from people asking you to ship.

wait for the sig 522 the ruger for the money I don't think is worth it.

Every one is entitled to there opinion and I sure you own and have tested the SR-22 to come to the to the conclusion that it is not worth the money , the 10/22 action is a tryed and tested action with millions sold and many options for parts . $550 is not a bad price for what you get ,Build a nordic and tack on anouther $300 to get almost the same thing
As for the sig what is the price point ? and How did you like shooting it ,can you please give us a personal review on why the sig comes out on top ? What makes it better than the SR-22 ?

I will probly buy one as well ,just to put in the safe , can never have to many toys

I just ordered one today and will hopefully see it in a few days.Anyone have any input on how they shoot or what they like to eat?Cheers

I took mine to the range for the first time on Sunday. It worked flawlessly with the 10 round supplied Ruger mag. the 25 round Butler Creek mags had a few misfeeds but I suspect that will go away once they get some use. I think it works and looks great:D Only thing i wish was available were mags that looked more like ar mags as i dont really like the look of them.

I've never shot a Sig 522. I HAVE, however, owned a Nordic Ruger 10/22 that I've had over 3 years now. That thing is a tackdriver inside 100 yrds. I mean, I pick off ground hogs with it like crazy. I shoot them on the move, I shoot them at range. They fear that thing.

So... you can say the Sig 522 *WILL BE* better, its certainly possible, and it certainly LOOKS cool. I'll probably buy one. But you cannot say it *IS* better, because you've never shot one, I've never shot one, and no one has shot one for three years.

We are now sold out of SR 22...Sorry if you tried to order one after we sold out. We are attempting to accelerate the new shipment. Phil.

While shopping at WSS today, I saw one being handled at the end of the counter and simply had to have one as well. I was thinking of doing up a Nordic kit, but this is was much easier and a lot cheaper.
If I overheard them correctly, they just recently got a shipment in and are selling fast!! I don't care how many they got left now, 'cause I got mine! :ar15: :dancingbanana:

(E)

Now that we know a few members have them lets start seeing some pics of them with whatever optics,ect... added on.I got a Bushnell TRS-25 being mounted tommorow on mine then its range time!!!!

I wanna see some tactical scopes and sights mounted on one
I can't decide what to mount on mine yet
I was thinking about that ncstar3-9 tactical with iluminted optic and laser

so can the stock be made to be adjustable again? never heard a definitive yes or no.
i really like the mp 15\22 but those are looking doubtfull as a non-res.I would like to get a ruger looking as close that as possible

anyone mount an AR quad rail on the ruger yet? or does it look hideous?
