ruger sr-556 availability in Canada?

Hi I apologize if this thread has already been addressed in the past. Is this rifle available in Canada and by who? I realize if it is it is probably back ordered like all of Rugars other guns, but wanted to know where I could find it.

All they would have to do is stamp it .223 and they can leave the chamber 5.56.

So they don't need to make a .223

Like LMT chamber is 5.56 but stamped .223 for export reasons other brands do the same thing
 
I was under the impression that the US state department relaxed its restrictions on military marked calibers? My ACR is stamped 5.56 and the majority of what you see coming in now for ARs are as well.

mine is tagged as "MFR" or something like that so it's not one specific caliber as the receiver can shoot 223 / 5.56 / 7.62 etc
 
I don't see the point when Daniel Defense ARs are readily available for reasonable prices. Daniel Defense makes a demonstrably high quality rifle that takes standardized parts, whereas the Ruger is a proprietary design that offers nothing compared to a properly-built AR with a conventional direct gas system.
