I would just rather have a dedicated upper to switch between 300blk and 556. Interesting design but I am not sure it will catch on.

^^I agree for different calibers but I would enjoy a 556 with a 20" and say a 10.5"

The concept of a swappable AR barrel isn't new. Interesting to see Ruger jump in on this but looks like they made a simpler design. It would be cool to just swap from a 5.56 to 300BLK barrel.

It is actually a pretty clever design, much better than all those torquing bolts ( LMT ) and torquing barrel nut ( ACR ) systems, and it is also much needed because the way ruger designed the push rod system.

Now you can actually clean the push rod and make the rifle maintainable out in the field.

Quick change barrels have been a feature on FA's for decades. Lets see how this one keeps it '0' after hundreds of take downs.
