Yeah, $5 is good to get people out. You need to be with a member as the range is not open to the public.
Assuming price is the same which would you keep, SR1911 or Scorpion.
I lucked out with a Scorpion on EE for less than price of buying a new SR1911 locally. Contemplating buying the SR1911, try both, sell one but kinda lazy to go through all that effort.

I have one on order, supposed to have it by end of January. Not getting my hopes up though. I'm the last out of 12 on the list. I have a membership to DVC and PCDHFC too. I'll take it up there once I get it.
Tough call as I love the firm grip the scorpion gives but am concerned about the longevity of the finish, holster availability etc.
Price exact- I would go SIG only for the front strap checkering, a feature I love. (RTF Glocks are my fav- grip over all!)
Recall you have/had a Glock 21? SF? RTF? How do you like it compare to 1911s.
Being waiting for a Glock 21 Gen 4 since Oct. Luv my Glock 17 Gen 4. Hated the trigger and rear sight so had the 3.5 Rocket and springs install along with Truglo FO sights.
Shot the 17 for 9mm. Need to get the 21 to compare with 1911.

I shoot a lot. I also get my DVC membership in December when it's $224 an not the 300+. I also have a membership in Custer, WA. 3 ranges are a bit overkill I know. If you shoot long gun and pistol then PCDHFC is the only way to go. I shoot my rifles just before hunting season to ensure they are still sniper quality, most of my shooting is done through my glock and browning and hopefully my SR1911 soon. Who did you order your SR through?

Let's also wait and see how they pass function and accuracy tests after a few thousand rounds after they get around. I will need to see that before I sell my Nork! Lol!
That's a good price for a gen 4 G22. I'd buy it just for that reason. I don't really have any urge for a .40 S&W, otherwise I'd be in for that price. Hunting season up there is rediculous but if you are just shooting pistol, you need to get your RUC. So much nicer to go down to the lower ranges unsupervised. I ususally go in July to sight in my rifles with my new reloads. It's not worth going late August or early September. Way too much waiting.
Check Youtube. There are some great reviews on there already. Sold me on the gun.

I GOT MY RUGER SR1911 today and it is great. I'll give it a quick clean and then time to put lead down range.

Naw, I got mine from Sask. The AB "source" still doesn't have any..
BC got 10 only 2 weeks ago, I was at my local shop when they arrived. Only one was allocated for my shop so it didn't get a chance to even go on display. Mine has even been to the range for a quick 100 rounds to test function.
hang in there, it will be worth the wait. Still lovin' mine, just home now from weekly Thursday night match - Ruger1911 was flawless again, too bad I did not do all my part
