Shooting today, I noticed my casings where not ejecting all the time, I first thought it was the new ammo I picked up to try but after closer inspection, the extractor was sitting on the bench and the extractor spring was sticking out of its spot. I put it away and brought it home to look in the manual. I never saw the extractor plug anywhere that I was shooting so its obviously gone for good.

Anyways, has anyone else seen this on their SR22 or 10-22? is their a place in southern ontario I can take it for warranty service or does it have to go back to a Ruger facility?

Thanks, any advice would be great, this is the first NEW gun I've had with an issue, hell, non of my other newly purchased or old used guns have had any issues at all so this is completely new to me...

I figured someone here would have seen something like this before, guess its not really a common issue?

Anyways, I was given 2 options, Ruger told me to call their certified shop in Quebec for warranty repair at no charge, and Wholesale Sports told me to return it and they will send me a new gun. I think I'm going with option #2 and getting a new one. Will be sending it out today.

Most people replace it with an aftermarket extractor, its about a 30 second fix.

you should ask if whole sale has them in stock first so you are not waiting X amount of time to get it , you should contact location snap shot and see if they will ust send you an extrator for the SR22R and its a drop in repaire 450-427-0052 speak with carole pitre ,

I will call Carol back and see if she will send me the parts to get it up and shooting again.

Where is a good place for the aftermarket extractor?

Thanks :)
