Hey guys and gals.
I just got a ruger sr22, and am in the process of getting some optics for it. Im pretty sure I would like to try something similar to this, and i think are called holographic sights? (the sr22 is just a plinking gun for me, if you guys/gals think this type of optic sucks, let me know before I buy one!!)

So I went to a few places last night to look at one, and no one had one so Im going to buy it online. I tried to look for a little info but thought I would ask my questions directly here.
First of all the mount. The guy at wholesale sports figured I would need a high mount, but then didnt know if you could buy a high mount for a red dot, or one of those holographic sights (hopefully thats the right term). Does anyone know if you need riser mounts for one of those types of sights? I would need a riser that goes from a reail, to weaver style too, I think.
Second is all this moa specs. If I figure it right, for a 3 moa speced red dot, at 100 yards, the dot is about 3 inches big on your target. I would predict most of my shooting to be at 75 and under, so I should be looking for the smallest number moa dot i can find, right?
I apologize if these questions seem silly to some of ya, as I have shot open sights since I could hold a gun, and am really just starting to learn about this stuff now.
